At John McClung Roofing, the only thing that matters to us more than your roof are the people under it. ALL people. Including the kids! And that is one of many reasons we partner with local schools and for every roof sold, we make a contribution to a school in need. Johnston Elementary School has partnered with us for a long time and this year, we wanted to do something creative to give back to the community!
Since Hurricane Helene, there has been a beautiful growth of organizations helping people through the holidays. We wanted to do something that was meaningful, but a little different from most other programs, and so we created the Jingle Bear Shoppe!
The Jingle Bear Shoppe event allowed students to earn “Jingle Bills” based on good deeds and good behavior. They then could spend their fake money on real items at the Jingle Bear Shoppe which was available to all students. Employees from John McClung Roofing, along with volunteers from Antioch Church, Johnston PTA, and even the REAL Santa Jojo and Grinch (played by New York Life agent, Joshua Brown), all joined forces to help students shop for and wrap presents while getting in the Christmas spirit! A good time was had by all and we are especially grateful to Santa Jojo and the Grinch for helping entertain all of the students for the day!! It was a wonderful and fun event that we look forward to doing again one day!
