BACKPACK GIVEAWAY 2026!
Hard to believe it’s already time to buy school supplies again for the school year! We know that it’s always an expensive time for parents and we’d love to bless some families and so….we are GIVING AWAY 500 BACKPACKS! All packs include: backpack, pencils, notebooks, pens, ruler, glue sticks, colored pencils, folders, sharpeners, scissors, highlighters, and a pencil pouch! (While supplies last!)
Please fill out the following form before August 6th to make the process quicker! Walk ups also welcome while supplies last, but still need to fill out form.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: Backpacks will be available for pick-up from 4pm-6:30pm on SUNDAY, August 9th at Sun Soo Martial Arts located at 800 Fairview Rd, Ste D2, Asheville, NC 28803 (River Ridge!). Any backpacks not picked up by this time will be allocated to another student. Students must be present in order to pick up backpack. In the event that is not possible, we will need ID and/or photo evidence proving the recipient is local and is a student.

Thank you to everyone who made our annual Backpack Giveaway such a success! We were able to supply over 800 students with backpacks and school supplies as well as bless 50 local teachers with blessing baskets for their classrooms! Especially after a year like we experienced post-Helene, we knew we had to step up and we are so grateful for our community partners and over 60 volunteers who gave back this year!

Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser
Every year during the month of October, John McClung Roofing will donate 4% of every signed contract for a new shingle roof to support the local non-profit, The Hope Chest for Women. The Hope Chest aids women in WNC who are battling breast or gynecological cancers and is extra special to the McClung family as they gave a lot of help and support to a dear family member who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2017 at the young age of 42. Whether or not you need a roof, we encourage you to consider donating to this great cause. And don’t forget to check for lumps to save your bumps! God bless you all.
