Every year, John McClung Roofing donates a percentage of roofs sold in the month of October to a local nonprofit, “The Hope Chest for Women” which helps women in WNC who are battling breast and gynecological cancers. Also in October, Hope Chest usually has their largest annual fundraiser, but due to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Helene, they obviously had to cancel in 2024. Because we are a roofing company and the storm caused major damage to a signifcant number of homes, we had more business than ever before and we still intended to keep our promise of donating proceeds from every roof sold to this mission!
Hurricane Helene brought SO much destruction to our area. And we will continue to rebuild! But life is complex and with great pain and struggle, we can often still find pockets of joy and gratitude and that’s what this was for us! Due to the surplus in work, we were able to donate over $27,000 to The Hope Chest for Women! What a blessing!!
We are humbled that we were able to contribute in this way and it makes our hearts full seeing how people came together during the aftermath, which we’re still recovering from. To all of our customers, to our community, and to Hope Chest for Women, we say thank you! We appreciate you and know that we are better together!
