September 27th, 2024, our area changed forever. Hurricane Helene became a mountain hurricane, over 300 miles from the ocean. Homes and businesses were washed away. Hundreds of lives were lost. Thousands of homes were damaged or destroyed. And we have been grieving and rebuilding together ever since.

Many people lost power for weeks and had no potable water for months. As a business, we’ve lost count of the phone calls we’ve received from people calling about roof damage, often from where an entire tree fell through their house. It’s been both heartbreaking and rewarding!

Our office is a former residence and runs on well water, which never stopped throughout everything. When we heard about the water issue, it was a no-brainer to open up our office to the community for people to take clean, hot showers, wash their clothes, or refill their water bottles with clean water.

When the cold months hit, we, along with SO many other neighbors and businesses and volunteers from all across North America, partnered with people to make sure over 300 propane heaters with propane went to people in the cold.

It is January 24th, 2025 as I type this update. It is still cold. People are still struggling. But people are also overcoming, and for that, we are thankful! We couldn’t be more proud of WNC and Eastern TN and all that we have endured and persevered through together!

If you or someone you know has storm damage on their roof, give us a call. We are happy to work with your insurance company and we also have financing available through a partnership with GoodLeap. We will take care of you the best way we know how!

Come hell or high water, we are in this together!
